Sino-German VUV FEL workshop

08 October, 2015

This week, Jochen Küpper participated in a workshop at the Dalian Institute for Chemical Physics to discuss novel experiments in Molecular, Cluster, and Surface Physics.

At the workshop perspectives for experiments at the upcoming vacuum ultraviolett (VUV) free-electron laser (FEL), the Dalian Coherent Light Source, were discussed by a group of scientists from Germany and China, and a few invited colleagues from the USA. The workshop provided many constructive discussions for experiments in chemical physics and physical chemistry, which will be written down in a workshop summary.
The Dalian Coherent Light Source will provide intense, mJ-level pulses of VUV radiation at 50 Hz. First experiments are envisioned for the end of 2016.
