Research
In her dissertation project Lena produces particle beams consisting of isolated and cryogenically (sub 10 K) shock-frozen nanoparticles and proteins. She works on the improvements of the characterization methods to determine the focusing properties of the particle source and the particle source itself, e.g., an aerodynamic lens stack or a buffer-gas cell to generate particle beams suitable for x-ray coherent diffractive imaging experiments.
