Research
Optimization of laser field-free alignment and orientation of complex molecules in the gas phase
In his research project, Evangelos will optimize the achievable angular control over complex molecules exploring shaped laser pulses and the combinations of multiple colors as well as dc electric fields. The project includes the theoretical and computational analysis and optimization of the (theoretically) achievable control using learning-loop approaches as well as the experimental implementation and re-optimization of the best field configuration for very strong field-free alignment
The theoretical and computational part of the project will be performed in close collaboration with the group of our long-term collaborator Rosario González Férez at the Universidad de Granada, Spain
