Imaging chemical dynamics

Electron diffraction of controlled molecules
In Ruth’s research project time resolved electron diffraction experiments are carried out on gas phase molecules. In order to extract detailed information on the structural dynamics the gas phase molecules are both state selected and aligned using specially designed light pulses
