Posterprize awarded to Thomas Kierspel

Thomas Kierspel, postdoctoral researcher in the CFEL Controlled Molecule Imaging Group (CMI), was awarded a Poster Prize MPS 2018 at the International Conference of Many Particle Spectroscopy of Atoms, Molecules, Clusters and surfaces.
The MPS ’18 conference in Budapest, held 21.–24. August 2018, highlighted basic research on charged-particle spectroscopies for the investigation of the very details of the structure and dynamics of atoms and molecules. The work Thomas presented, entitled "X-ray photoelectron angular distributions of conformer selected aligned gas-phase molecules,“ was a collaborative effort between the CMI group and Dr. Aleksandr Golovin from the Faculty of Physics at the St. Petersburg State University (Russia).
