Álvaro Fernández awarded best poster prize at the 2024 Final General Meeting of the MD-GAS COST Action.

Álvaro Fernández, PhD student in the Controlled Molecule Imaging group, was conferred the best poster award at the 2024 Final General Meeting of the MD-GAS COST Action, Hamburg from 9th-12th April.
Álvaro received the poster prize for the presentation on “Theoretical semiclassical modelling of Laser Induced Electron Diffraction (LIED)”, in which he offers a comprehensive review on the imaging technique and explains the necessary theory to simulate the results of it.
The prize consists of a certificate along with a chocolate bar. The MD-GAS COST Action is an Action that, during the last four years, has aimed to advance the understanding of gas phase molecular dynamics and its consequences for a broad range of applications. The Final General Meeting was the occasion to hear the reports of the working groups, present experimental and theoretical work and plan for future COST actions.
